Vanmort and the Race to 23
Victor Von Vanmort, or Triple V as his friends call him, has his sights set on two things: the National Championship and the Rushing Touchdowns record.
"When Michigan offered me a scholarship out of Prep School I was flabbergasted. I mean, I knew I was good. But I was small and played against Canadian competition. It's also not very common for a college to offer a scholarship to a Canadian football player. I was hoping to play for the CFL one day, I had no idea the EFL would be within reach. I'm getting a little ahead of myself though, focus on the present and all.
All anybody's been talking about is that 22 Touchdown record and whether I have a chance to catch it or not. I think I read an article where it said I scored a touchdown every 9.8 times I touch the ball. If Coach would give me 40 carries a game I'd catch it easily [laughs]. Seriously though, breaking the record would be great for me, Michigan, Canada and small backs like me as a whole. Who says small guys can't be goal line backs? What's most important, above all, is bringing home that Natty though. If I don't score another touchdown this season and we win the Championship, I'll be happy."
