  1. Hank grew up on the beautiful Gulf Coast in Mobile, AL. In Alabama, football is everything but his mother was too scared to let him play. Sure he'd jump in pick up games but could never put on that helmet and hit someone. Instead, he played soccer. His freshman and sophomore seasons he showed exceptional leg strength and was one of the top strikers on the Varsity team. Even with his success on the pitch, Falco felt something was missing. Prior to his Junior season, the football coach announced tryouts for a new kicker. Knowing he had the leg strength, Hank thought this was his chance. Not telling his parents, he showed up and showed out. He was booming kicks (not always on target) but the coaches loved the promise he showed. He made the team easily but told coach that he wasn't sure his parents would allow him to play. Like a scene from the Waterboy, the head coach came to dinner one night to convince Falco's parents to let him play. His main point, kickers see less action than every position on a soccer field. His parents were still unsure but between coach and Hank begging, they gave in. Hank had an up and down Junior season. He connected on 21 of 30 FG chances and 42 of 47 extra points. That didn't stop his drive and he worked day in and day out to improve his accuracy. At one point the special teams coach got annoyed and told him to put the basket of balls up when he was done. Well the hard work paid off. As a senior, he made 32 of 33 FGs with a long of 52 yards. He was perfect on extra points going 48 for 48 and was a weapon for his state title run. Being a state champion and the success he showed on the field, Hank garnered the attention of some of the top colleges. While many still slept on him due to his subpar Junior season, he will be signing as a redshirt with the school of his dreams where he can't wait to prove the doubters wrong and begin his quest for the pros.
