  1. Drinkin off to a hot start with new team, Longwell again benched for punting duties Week 1 Drinkin has been fitting in just fine in his new northern home, and it all came together in the first week of the season. He lead the team with 13 tackles, one for a loss, en route to a defensive player of the year nomination and a 24-9 victory over fellow expansion team Toronto. Next game he was able to add 6 more. Drinkin is second on his team by one tackle, but still sits in a nice spot overall, tied with 5 people for 5th overall. If he can keep up this production it would be quite a wild feat in his old age, but an expansion team would be just the place to pull it off. So far Longwell has had a normal season in field goals, He drilled all 3 of his extra points and all 3 of his field goals. But now for the second season in a row it seems that the Los Angeles Reign have opted to go for a different punter week one. With this being 2 seasons in a row, and Longwell being allowed to go in the expansion draft, it makes you wonder if this new player could be the Reign trying out his future replacement

  3. Drinkin meets new teammates, Longwell is sent back home to Los Angeles It takes a lot to be introduced to a new team, so thats what Drinkin has been doing in his free time in Minnesota. He has been paired up with a group of young LBs in Tee Pee E and Jabari Spalding. Much of his task on the team is teaching the young players the ins and outs of the position. It isnt sure who will be playing what spot in the lineup just yet, but it is sure to be a linebacker core that will be versatile, even if it isnt the best right now. Drinkin and Spalding are both coverage LBs and Tee Pee E specializes in pass rushing, so while the front seven might be rough against the run, it should be a nightmare for opposing QBs In other news, Longwell no longer has to worry about meeting new teammates. A trade earlier this week sent him back to the LA Reign in exchange for two 3rd rounders. Reportedly the team was very much in need of a kicker after he was taken, and Toronto did not need two kickers, already owning Johnny Greg. Longwell was ecstatic about the news of going back to the team he has played for his whole career

  5. how can i do my thing if my thing is not doing things?
  6. Drinkin and Longwell both find new homes in the expansion draft Both ADwyer players left exposed in the expansion draft found new homes, lets see where they ended up Longwell was taken with the 28th overall pick to the Toronto Skyhawks. He was the 3rd kicker selected, but the second selected on his own team. His fate is still very unknown right now, as he hasnt been put in the LR yet and has been told he is on the trade block. Longwell has told his agent to say he just wants to play, and doesnt mind who its for. He hopes that everything works out well in the end and has retired to his house until he hears a final decision has been made. Drinkin was taken with the 34th overall pick by the Minnesota Frontier. He has told the media for the team that he is very excited to be on the team! "I liked going to this team because its not too much of a move for my family", Drinkin said, "moving anywhere is a big task so taking the shortest possible move is the best I could ask for". He has had great conversations with the GM and is already planning his training camp routine with the new squad
  7. Both ADwyer Agency Players Left Unprotected In a sad turn of events for the ADwyer agency, both his representatives, Wisconsin Brigade LB Abroham Drinkin and LA Reign K Kasay Longwell, have been alerted that they will be left off their teams respective protections list. When speaking about how they felt, the two players took different attitudes Drinkin was noticeably upset in his latest press conference. "I mean I wish I would have known about this development beforehand." Drinkin said, shaking his head. "Ive given a lot of good years to this organization, and even just signed a one year extension. And now they just gonna throw me to the curb like that? Look, its a business, I get it, but dont tell me you want me on one hand and then try and dump me off when my back is turned." Kasay Longwell on the other hand was rather unphased. "Eh, im a kicker," he said nonchalantly, "and one without an award at that. No sense in wasting a slot on me. Heck im sure I will end up back on the Reign by the time this all blows over, so its no big deal." We will follow this story more as it progresses
  8. Details of yet another ADwyer Agency player showdown It happens twice a season, but still any time the ADwyer Agency players show down its guaranteed to be a great one. This latest week 9 matchup of the Brigade and the Reign was no different! Both teams were in very different places, with Brigade coming in first with a 6-2 record, while LA is last at 1-7. The first quarter was uneventful, with each team trading touchdowns, but in the next two quarters things REALLY picked up. In the next 2 quarters, the Reign scored 3 touchdowns and a 21 yard Kasay Longwell field goal, while the Brigade only managed a TD and a field goal. Going into the final quarter the score was 31-17 in favor of the Reign, looking to play spoiler and notch their second win of the season. the Brigade had no plan of that though, and mounted a wild comeback, rattling off 3 straight touchdown passes from Teppei Renomitsu to take a 38-31 lead. The Reign tried to mount a comeback, but they stalled out 44 yards short, giving the Brigade the win Longwell had a perfect day on kicking, going 4 for 4 on extra points and making his only field goal attempt. He only punted 3 times, but his 39 average was abysmal on the day. Drinkin didnt do a ton on the day, but he did finish tied for second on the team with 6 tackles on the day.
  9. Abroham Drinkin and Kasay Longwell Midseason Review In what feels like his millionth season, Drinkin has definitely taken a step back in the production department, but he has kept his ability to be versatile which has been a great asset to the first place Wisconsin Brigade. He is still 4th on the team in tackles with 41 tackles, but has helped in many other categories. He has been ok in the backfield with 2 sacks and 3 tackles for a loss, along with the forced and recovered fumble he got in week 4. He's been more used in the passing game however with 6 pass defences, 3rd most on the team and tied for 5th among linebackers. Drinkin's time in the EFL might be coming to a close but he can still make it work just a little while longer Longwell is having an interesting and variable season. He is one of the 3 kickers with a perfect field goal season right now, but has bricked an extra point. While he has hit a 51 yarder, one of the other kickers has hit a record breaking 65 yard field goal, putting him firmly in the drivers seat for kicker of the year. His punting has rebounded greatly from being benched week 1, to being one of the worst week 4, and now to being tied for second week 8. However with only 6 pins inside the 20, this probably isnt enough to get him his first Kicker of the Year unless defending champ Johnny Greg misses a lot more going forward.
