  1. Tarpin/Moore Season 2 Update #1 Week 1 done. We have high hopes this season and we came out firing. We won against Bama and it wasn't that close of a game. I had a career high performance with 2 tackles (doesn't seem like much but hey it's a career high). I felt like I made an impact with disrupting passes as well. I couldn't be happier right now. Looks like all the hard work in the off-season might be paying off but I'm hoping saying that doesn't jinx us. We're starting this season off right and I guarantee we won't let the ND faithful down. Feels good to be into another season. We came out firing with a win over Alabama. There's a lot of expectations for us to be one of the better teams this year and we're definitely starting it right. I had a good game with a career high in yards and I tied last year already in touchdowns. I'm hoping this wasn't my last time in the endzone for the season. We have some great players and our quarterback is definitely going to do his part at getting us the ball. I'm hoping we don't let the Notre Dame fans down and as always Go Irish!

  3. End of Tarpin and Moore's Freshman Season That's a year in the books. Not sure if it was good or bad. It was definitely better than a year ago but that isn't necessarily saying much. I guess we weren't the worst team in the NCAA which is progress. I can see a lot for the future of this program though. I'm hoping that I have a much better season next year which will in turn help the team be better. I've seen the news about us and how bad we are but no one seems to be talking about the talent we have. Both Siddhu and Sticky Hands are single handedly going to make our offense awesome. Lanier and hopefully I can help out are going to make our defense better at least. There is a lot in our future it's just sort of hard to see that with how bad we've been. The end of a tough season. It's never fun for us to have a losing season. I guess it was better than what it was a year ago. We weren't the worst team in the NCAA and hey we beat Texas who was really really good. I think for my freshman year I had a solid year. It would have been really nice to find the endzone more than once and I'm sure my team can agree that that would have helped us out. I can see a lot for our future though. Let's make it happen next season!
  4. South Bend Times November 25th, 2019 South Bend, Indiana I'd love to be here telling you that the Irish shocked the college football world and made the playoffs after not winning a game last season. Clearly that didn't happen. The Irish only won three games, but is that really a bad thing? Yes it sucks that it was a losing season and they were the worst team in the country but that team got some quality wins. The Irish beat the Texas Longhorns in week 8. That was easily the biggest win of the season with the Irish being one of their three losses. They split the season series with them. The Irish's other wins came against a Michigan team that wasn't much better than us this season. They beat them in both games this season. They also played an Alabama team that under-performed this season very close in the first game against them. It's very hard to look on the positive side of this season but I don't think it was a bad season. In comparison to how the Irish were a year ago it's so much better. They lost big to every team last year. This year they have a lot of promising talent with both Moore and Tarpin having pretty decent seasons for being brand new. Moore only found the endzone once but he either led the team in receiving yards or was behind Sticky Hands for that spot most games. Tarpin didn't put up many stats but they didn't throw to his side of the field very much this season. He looked good even without the stats to back it up. Sarvepally, Hands, and Lanier are all going to be likely in their last season with the team next year and they're probably the best players on the team. Prime Time and Hobo Jackson are both Freshmen even though they played in a few games last year and they both show a lot of promise. I'm actually excited for what the future holds for Notre Dame football. It has looked very bleak lately but I'm confident this team has a lot more in them. Hopefully some fresh new recruits can strengthen this roster even more. Even if they don't get many recruits, I believe this current roster has a lot more in them than what they showed this season. South Bend, I asked you before if it was time to be excited. When I said that it wasn't yet. The Irish only went on to win one more game after that against a team that wasn't much better. Listen to me though, this team has a lot of promise and if they aren't even a little better next season you can hold me accountable. It is time to be excited. Notre Dame football has a very bright future. We just need to trust the process that the Athletic Director and coaches are working on. It may take a while but the Irish will be relevant before long and competing in the NCAA. GO IRISH!
  5. Multiple big plays so far. An exciting game to see unfold
  6. Tarpin/Moore #3 I still haven't been doing great to help the team out. We're giving up a lot of yards and I'm part of that because I still haven't put up any stats besides one this season. I didn't expect college to be this much harder than high school but we've been playing guys who are going to make it to the EFL and that's showing in how I'm playing. I've been working hard to get better and I really hope it starts to show up soon for the team's sake. We haven't won any games for a couple of weeks either and the blame can go on a lot of us but I'm putting it squarely on myself. It would really be great to be winning. I'm feeling pretty happy with my performance. I finally got into the endzone for the first time of my college career. I've been leading in receiving yards for a lot of our games this season but we're giving up a lot of points and not putting many points on the board. That's the recipe for losing. We've got to change that up to start winning games. I'm hoping our hard work starts to show up again like it was a few weeks ago. Let's go ND! Let's make it happen at least these next few games.
  7. YES We're up 14-0! Let's GOOO
  8. Come on Irish! We got this guys!
  9. Tarpin/Moore Update #2 About my Interview With the South Bend Times I'll start by saying that it was super cool to have the first interview of my college career. The reporter was super nice and I was happy to take my time with him. I did tell him that I have been a little disappointed with my play this season but everyone has been trying to make me see that I'm still making an impact on the team. I hope that moving forward I can actually make more of a measurable impact rather than just listening to other people. I also really am looking forward to how this team is going to do and I'm really excited. We have a lot of good pieces here and I know we'll be able to make them work. About Our Win We did it! We beat the unbeatable. Texas was undefeated going into our game and we won by 1. What a game. All I can say is that I'm proud of my team and proud of myself. We've been showing signs of improvement but they finally showed up on the field. I'm super excited for what the rest of my time at Notre Dame holds. I want to thank the ND faithful and let's get them some wins! GO IRISH!!!
  10. South Bend Times South Bend, Indiana An interview With Freshman Cornerback Will Tarpin The Notre Dame Fighting Irish just upset the undefeated Texas Longhorns by 1 point. I had an exclusive one on one interview with the freshman Cornerback Will Tarpin after the game. Transcript So Will, how does a win like this feel for you guys? I think I can speak for the whole team in saying that it feels great. I obviously wasn't here for it but last year we didn't win a single game. I know we've struggled this year just beating one team before this who isn't off to a much better start but we're obviously showing improvement by being able to beat a team who was previously undefeated. This game was a huge shot of confidence to us and we feel on top of the world. It's easily made up for all of the other losses so far. What do you see for the team moving forward? I would say that it's pretty clear we're getting better. We look more in games than we did before. We just beat an undefeated team. Rebuilds like this take time and we're at least moving in the right direction towards being great. How do you feel about how you've played so far this season? You know at times I've felt like a liability to the team. Coach and everybody has been telling me not to be too hard on myself but that's hard when I've only put up stats in one game and that was just a single tackle. In other games even when I'm not putting up stats it feels like they're just not throwing my way so that's gotta be a good sign right? This game I didn't put up any stats again but that's okay because we won the game so I must have been doing something right. Going away from this game a little, what made you decide to stay in state and play for the Irish? As a kid I was always a fan of Notre Dame. I tried to put that aside when I was choosing my school. Most people thought that I would commit somewhere that was winning more. When they were recruiting me they were going through a winless season which in most cases wouldn't work in their favor. I really liked the idea of helping a program as much as I could and growing up as a fan of the Irish I didn't want to see them struggle this much. It also helped that I didn't have to go too far from home. But that's why I committed here. It feels like home and I love this program. Alright Will I won't keep you too long and go too far off track. Before you go do you have anything you want to say to the fans? GO IRISH!!! We're getting better just trust the process! Thank you for your time! Seem's like he's in a good mood. Your Irish are certainly getting better. Is it time to be excited South Bend?
