Bryce Greening and Hank Heller's Experiences with the ECFA as Kids!

Recommended Posts

As kids, Bryce and Hank both very much loved watching football, especially ECFA. They would often get together and watch it together and have lots of fun just simply watching it. Obviously, Bryce didn't know about the ECFA until he moved to America, so Hank had been watching it for way longer than him. As soon as Hank showed it to him, he fell in love with it, just as much as Hank already had. They both loved rooting for their specific teams, the Death Valley Rangers for Bryce, and the Hades Creek Phalanx for Hank. Both players have later stated watching all these games highly influenced them to play football and do good at it.

When Bryce first came to America, his first friend he made was Hank. One of the first things that Hank showed him was the ECFA. At that point, Bryce didn't even know what American football was, so it was a very new thing to him. The reason he liked it so much was because it reminded him a lot of rugby, which was his only escape from hard times back in Africa. As Hank started teaching him more and more, Bryce liked it even more. He was able to understand the rules and how the game worked, so he could have more fun watching the games. Bryce first moved to America during S15 of the ECFA, so he got to see his team the Death Valley Rangers (Texas Longhorns) win back to back championships. It thrilled him watching this. He also experienced the heartbreak in losing those championships as well, which he didn't like at all. Now he is getting to play for Death Valley which is like a dream come true for him.

As soon as Hank met Bryce, he knew he should introduce him into watching the ECFA, because after all it was one of his favorite things to do to spend time on besides playing video games and kicking a football. So one weekend in the summer, Hank invited Bryce over to spend the night, so they could stay up late watching the Hades Creek Phalanx face off against the Sacramento Venom. At first, Bryce didn't like it very much, but when he noticed the similarities between it and rugby, he started getting into it more and more. Then, Hank started teaching him the rules, and Bryce was learning so much that Hank got Bryce to play football with him that year for their school. Now, after watching his team win multiple championships, Hank's dream of becoming the greatest kicker of all time is getting closer as he has reached the dream of playing for the Hades Creek Phalanx in the ECFA.

Some of Hank and Bryce's fondest memories from their childhood had to do with the ECFA. Just to name a few, some were starting their first ever fantasy league, with their other friends from school and from their football team, which was one of the most fun football related things they have ever done except for actually playing football itself. Another one of their greatest memories is when they were watching the S15 championship game which had the Death Valley Rangers in it which was Bryce's favorite team. When they won the championship, Bryce was screaming so loud and celebrating that it woke up Hank's grandparents! Those are the main experiences Hank and Bryce had with the ECFA as kids and it greatly influenced them to play football!

This not just very well done, but it's also a refreshing new idea for an article. This provided a clear insight on how both your players (Bryce Greening & Hank Heller) began their ECFA journey while giving us a peak of what their lives were like prior to. This article had great formatting and was easy to follow. Would've liked to see a picture added to bring the article a bit more to life but the content of the article itself easily makes this a pass. Great work! 👍
