Well, I am going to make us a Team Hall of Fame, with players from our USC and HCP days. I don’t have a set number of inductees per year, it just depends on whether I think you’re HOF-worthy or not. But, to the point, our first inductee is...

spacer.png

Anderson Muller, QB, S9-S12, @Sova

USC Stats: 1062-1826 (58.2%), 12,119 YDS, 80 TD, 56 INT, 80.1 QBR, 56 RSH, 107 YDS (1.9 YPA), 1 TD

Accolades: S12 Heisman, S12 QBoTY, S12 OPotY, 2x All-America (S11-S12)

There is no legitimate argument against Muller being the best quarterback that has ever stepped on HCP’s or USC’s field. The only one to get over 10,000 yards, Muller won QBoTY, OPoTY, and the Heisman in his senior season, and though a championship eluded him, as did professional stardom, this was a no-brainer.

Our next QB is the only one in school history to win 2 championships, our next Hall of Famer is...

spacer.png

Nathan Lee, QB, S1-S3, @124715

USC Stats: 744-1218 (61.1%), 9,942 yards, 73 TD, 46 INT, 91.2 QBR, 84 RSH, 256 YDS (3.1 YPA)

USC Accolades: 3x All-America (S1-S3), S2 Heisman Trophy, S2 QBotY, S2 OPotY, 2x NCAA Champion (S1-S2)

Pro Stats (S4-S11): 2393-3981 (60.1%), 29,137 yards, 158 TD, 108 INT, 106 RSH, 110 YDS (1.0 YAC) 2 TD

Accolades: Season 6 Comeback Player of the Year, S9 Pro Bowl

Nathan Lee is also very much a deserved inductee. In his 3 seasons at USC, he led the team to 2 straight championships and a runner-up finish his 3rd year. He was also a much more efficient QB than Muller, and also ran more (and better) than him. To add on to that, Lee had a solid, 8-season pro career with 4 teams (Miami, Seattle, Los Angeles, and New Orleans, in that order), but it was marred by inactivity. However, college is what matters, and he sure delivered in college.

Our final QB did more than just catch passes...

spacer.png

Nnamdi Okolocha, QB-WR, S1-S4, @evryday

USC Stats: 316-536 (59.9%), 3,818 YDS, 26 TD, 22 INT, 80.0 QBR, 52 RSH, 309 YDS, 3.9 YAC, 2 TD, 107 REC, 1,542 YDS, 14.4 YAC, 9 TD

USC Accolades: 2x NCAA Champion (S1-S2)

Pro Stats: 1638-2636 (62.1%), 21,633 YDS, 163 TD, 79 INT, 96.2 QBR, 266 RSH, 1,081 YDS, 4.1 YAC, 8 TD, 68 REC, 753 YDS, 11.1 YAC, 5 TD
Pro Accolades (S5-S10): 3x QBoTY (S6, S8, S10), S10 OPoTY, S10 MVP, 5x Pro Bowl (S6-S10), Hall of Fame (S13), S9 EFL Champion

Sure, he did a helluva lot better in the pros than at USC. But, although his stats seem pretty meh in college, this guy was a role model, team-first man. He spent 3 of his 4 years playing WR while Nathan Lee had a good time throwing the ball and then embraced his QB1 role senior year. His pro stats are exceptional, as evidenced by his HOF induction, so it is no surprise that he’s in here.

Now, we move on to the first of many, many, many running backs. First up is...

spacer.png

Quin’Darius Furdge, S4-S7, @Jogn

USC Stats: 1,612 RSH, 7,463 YDS, 4.6 YAC, 54 TD, 87 REC, 521 YDS, 6.0 YAC, 4 TD, 25 PAN, 4 SA, 49 KR, 774 YDS, 15.8 YPR, 38 PR, 159 YDS, 4.2 YPR

Accolades: 2x OPotY (S6-S7), 2x RBotY (S6-S7), 2x Heisman (S6-S7), 4x All-America (S4-S7)

EFL Stats (S9-S13): 65 RSH, 343 YDS, 5.3 YAC, 4 TD, 102 REC, 831 YDS, 8.2 YAC, 7 TD, 50 PAN, 2 SA

EFL Accolades: S11 FBotY, 2x Pro Bowl (S11-S12), S9 EFL Champion

He was the best player ever. Period. The only 4-time All-America that we’ve ever had (and probably the only one we’ll ever see), he is also the only 2-time Heisman receipient in school history... All as an IA.

In the Pros, he settled in with New York as their fullback, winning S11 FBotY and registering 5 solid seasons. Wow.

Our next guy also went IA in the pros but still deserves this...

spacer.png

Jimmy Numbers, S13-S16, RB, @124715

USC Stats: 1,363 RSH, 6,815 YDS, 5.0 YAC, 53 TD, 44 REC, 322 YDS, 7.3 YAC, 2 TD, 32 PAN, 10 SA, 94 K4, 1,105 YDS, 11.8 YPR, 35 PR, 169 YDS, 4.3 YPR

USC Accolades: 2x RBotY (S15, S16), 2x All America (S15-S16)

Well, well, well. Another dude who didn't make the pros. Seems like a theme from this guy... Whatever, he still deserves it, being one of the best RBs to grace USC, he led us out of the wilderness called an 0-14 season into an amazing stretch of dominance that lasted until S26, when NotSoGood took over.

Another great IA is going into the Hall now, introducing...

usatsi_2099109.jpg?w=1000&h=600&crop=1

Tre Jaguar, S9-S12, RB. @Daybe

USC Stats: 1,020 RSH, 4,946 YDS, 4.9 YAC, 39 TD, 77 REC, 619 YDS, 8.0 YPR, 2 TD, 34 PAN, 10 SA, 130 KR, 1754 YDS, 13.5 YPR, 1 TD, 31 PR, 216 YDS, 7.0 YPR, 1 TD

EFL Stats (S13): Drafted by Seattle but did not play.

Well, he was borderline for his rushing and receiving, but his returning made him a lock, being the best-ever returner in history and scoring a TD in every way possible (except for on defense). He was a vital piece, taking pressure of Anderson Muller and always remaining a threat whenever he had the ball.

Our next RB is our last USC RB, and he's not just any RB, he's a fullback...

spacer.png

Robert Hunter, S13-S16, FB, @TotallyNotGus

USC Stats: 51 RSH, 162 YDS, 3.2 YAC, 1 TD, 29 REC, 147 YDS, 5.1 YAC, 1 TD, 58 PAN, 4 SA

Pro Stats (S17-Present): 42 RSH, 194 YDS, 4.6 YAC, 2 TD, 461 REC, 3,850 YDS, 8.4 YAC, 40 TD, 369 PAN, 2 SA, 1 KR, 2 YDS, 2.0 YPR

Pro Accolades: 3x FBotY (S20, S23, S27), 8x Pro Bowl (S18-S24, S27), S26 EFL Champion

If you look at the obvious, Hunter looks pretty normal, almost bad. But what makes him special is his blocking. He is 2nd in USC history in pancakes and nowhere near the top in sacks allowed. He blocked for greatness, and he was great. In the EFL, he hasn't allowed a sack in 7 seasons, not since S18, which was a long time ago. A weird selection, but a great FB, through and through.

Now, our next guy is our first HCP inductee and perhaps our greatest...

spacer.png

Xavier Holloway, RB, S21-S24, @Symmetrik

HCP Stats: 1,125 RSH, 6,488 YDS, 5.8 YAC, 63 TD, 50 REC, 395 YDS, 7.9 YAC, 3 TD, 15 PAN, 2 SA, 64 KR, 816 YDS, 12.8 YPR, 10 PR, 54 YDS, 5.4 YPR

HCP Accolades: 2x All-America (S23-S24), S24 RBotY, S24 OPotY, S24 Heisman, S21 NCAA Champion

Pro Stats (S25-Present): 1497 RSH, 5,934 YDS, 4.0 YAC, 54 TD, 252 REC, 1,830 YDS, 7.3 YAC, 23 TD, 77 PAN, 7 SA, 50 KR, 1,114 YDS, 22.3 YPKR

Pro Accolades: S25 Offensive Rookie of the Year, Pro Bowl (S27)

Holloway was something really good. Anchoring the crazy 100% run offense, there was no stopping him as the Phalanx ran, and ran, and ran, and ran some more. With a ORotY  and Pro Bowl award with him already, you just hafta be excited to see what will come next for this Star in the making.

Next up, we have... wait, are you telling me we’re inducting coaches??? Well, here we go...

@Wally , Athletic Director, S14-S19, S21-S25

spacer.png

Record: 129-47 (.733), 9x Playoffs, 4x Semifinals, 2x Runner Up, 2x ECFA Champion

Accolades: 3x ADotY (S15-S17)

Wally took over USC in Season 14 as the Trojans were reeling from an 0-14 season the previous year. He restored faith in the boosters, players, and fans, leading HCP to a 7-7 record, which turned out to be his worst winning percentage on the campus and only one of 2 missed playoff appearances (the other one, he was 9-5 and lost a tiebreaker). After GMing for a season or 2, he came back and teamed up with Shark, as co-ADs, to continue the success, until Wally resigned, presumably for the last time, but maybe not. Who knows?

Oh, another guy we wanna induct...

@Sharkstrong, Athletic Director, S20-S25

spacer.png

Record: 85-27 (.759), 6x Playoffs, 2x Semifinals, 2x Runner Up, S21 ECFA Champion

Accolades: Season 12 Turner Award

After Wally left, Shark was named his successor and led HCP to a 9-7 record. When Wally took over again, though, Shark stayed on as co-AD and played an instrumental role in our success, and is still doing just that today, even though I’m not Wally.

Sorry people, I’ve been forgetting to add his picture, but finally I’ve remembered.

spacer.png

Demetric Kazmeir, RB, S23-S25, @ngine4

HCP Stats: 1,112 RSH, 6,383 YDS, 5.7 YAC, 59 TD, 17 REC, 131 YDS, 8.1 YAC, 33 KR, 694 YDS, 21.0 YPR, 36 PR, 248 YDS, 6.9 YPR, 1 TD

HCP Accolades: 3x All-America (S23-S25)

Pro Stats (S26-Present): 244 REC, 4,325 YDS, 17.7 YAC, 31 TD, 50 KR, 962 YDS, 19.2 YPKR

EFL Accolades: EFL Champion (S28)

Kazmeir really embodies the 100 run era in HCP, averaging over 400 RSH and 2,000 yards a season after transferring from Anchorage. Earning 2nd team All-America honors every season, Kazmeir leaves behind a legacy of consistent excellence, and right now, Kazmeir looks to be on the right track in the EFL after a solid debut and great follow up seasons.

Now, we turn our attention back to USC stars and our next one is the greatest WR in Trojans history, he and Nathan Lee make even the fabled Cole-to-Meyer connection in Savage City look small. We have...

spacer.png

Benjen Hands, WR, S1-S4, @SixersFan594

USC Stats: 274 REC, 4333 YDS, 15.8 YAC, 32 TD

USC Accolades: 2x All-America (S3, S4), 2x NCAA Champion (S1-S2)

EFL Stats (S5-S8): 151 REC, 2010 YDS, 13.3 YAC 10 TD

EFL Accolades: S6 EFL Champion

Lee-Hands was Cole-Meyer before Cole and Meyer were even alive. Averaging over 1,000 yards a season, the guy couldn’t stop catching. 4,000 yards has never been done since, and few have come close. Though inactivity keept him from being an EFL legend, he worked out a solid IA career, but we’ll love him here at USC, today, tomorrow, and forever.

We now have another wide receiver who made a big impact, but unlike most USC Hall of Famers, is still active in some capacity 😮

spacer.png

(The only reason I chose this guy’s photo for Mysidia was because he was coached in HS by the G.O.A.T. coach, Gus Malzahn.)

Palom Mysidia, WR, S9-S12, @diamond_ace

USC Stats: 239 REC, 3557 YDS, 14.9 YAC, 27 TD

USC Accolades: 2x All-America (S11, S12)

Pro Stats (S13-S19): 436 REC, 5474 YDS, 12.6 YAC, 31 TD, 2 KR, -3 YDS, -1.5 YPR

Mysidia and Muller were the next Lee-Hands combo, as they did nearly as well. Mysidia never got recognized as much as Muller, but I doubt Muller woulda been as successful without him. At least he got 2 All-America selections. In the EFL, Palom had one of the better pro careers of USC HOFers, playing a solid 7 seasons and doing pretty well for a 400 TPE player.

Now, we have another wide receiver, and this guy came in during the 0-14 season, and was the perfect complement to Jimmy Numbers. Here we have...

spacer.png

Frank Funk Sr., WR, S13-S16, @Rayzor_7

USC Stats: 20 RSH, 87 YDS, 4.4 YAC, 1 TD, 198 REC, 3098 YDS, 15.7 YAC, 16 TD, 71 KR, 1053 YDS, 14.8 YPR, 70 PR, 402 YDS, 5.7 YPR

USC Accolades: S14 WRotY, 3x All-America (S14-S16)

EFL Stats (S17-S25): 633 REC, 9633 YDS, 15.2 YAC, 74 TD, 53 KR, 1285 YDS, 24.2 YPR, 1 PR, 10 YDS, 10.0 YPR

EFL Accolades: 3x Pro Bowl (S20, S22, S25), S24 EFL Champion

Funk played in a very, very run-first offense, yet he still managed to shine, winning WRotY in his sophomore year and earning All-America honors in 3 seasons. He was also a competent return man, and did a bit of rushing on the side. In the EFL, he had an amazing career, earning nearly 10,000 yards receiving and 3 Pro Bowls. He also gave birth to a son, Frank Funk Jr., who also went to HCP, but, ever the teenage rebel, decided to transfer to Biscayne Bay.

And now, we have the greatest blocking tight end in USC history, and he was a filler! But he used his file TPE well, so we now induct...

spacer.png

Hassan Halafula, TE, S10-S13, @Anthony Ouellet

USC Stats: 227 REC, 2082 YDS, 8.1 YAC, 8 TD, 62 PAN, 6 SA

USC Accolades: S12 TEotY, 3x All-America (S10, S12-S13)

EFL Stats: Drafted by Los Angeles but did not play.

The guy caught a fair amount of passes, and was a good short-yardage player, but his blocking is what stands out. 62 pancake blocks is the most in all of our 26 seasons of existence. It’s stood for 13 seasons, and may never be broken. Not bad for a filler.

Now, while I wait to get home, so I can pull up JFH’s sig for the Hall of Fame (school iPad doesn’t show it), we’ll induct the tight ends who were awesome blockers. First, we have a guy who got not that many catches his senior year, but paved the way for Kazemir & Funk to score, score, and score some more. Here we have...

spacer.png

Jordan Kavanaugh, TE, S22-S25, @Cantir

USC Stats: 117 REC, 960 YDS, 8.2 YPR, 6 TD, 58 PAN, 2 SA

USC Accolades: 2x All-America (S22, S24)

Pro Stats (S26-Present): 292 REC, 2,679 YDS, 9.2 YAC, 15 TD, 80 PAN

JKav didn’t catch much, but then again, no one did in the olden days of last season 😂. But boy, he could block, and he’s got the most pancakes of any HCP player and is 3rd all-time. Despite an unsatisfactory uncap year in his eyes, Cantir is on an EFL team that will actually pass. We’re all rooting for him to get some receptions, and, after a solid rookie season, it looks like he’s finally gotten the targets he deserved.

Well, we now have the 2nd best blocker in Hades Creek history, a player who was there at USC... And still there at HCP.

spacer.png

Cormorant Bumberpuff, TE, S18-S21, @OrbitingDeath

USC Stats: 6 RSH, 19 YDS, 3.2 YAC, 197 REC, 1806 YDS, 9.2 YAC, 12 TD, 59 PAN, 2 SA

USC Accolades: 2x All-America (S20-S21), S20 TEotY, S21 NCAA Champion

EFL Stats (S22-Present): 902 REC, 8,445 YDS, 9.4 YAC, 58 TD, 231 PAN, 2 SA, 102 KR, 2,601 YDS, 25.5 YPR, 1 TD

EFL Stats: 3x Pro Bowl (S22, S25-S26), S24 EFL Champion, 2x TEotY (S26-S27)

Well, Bumberpuff was a pretty good pass-catcher, and was a key piece to Staubach’s Heisman campaign in S21, but his blocking was amazing, and he only trails the legendary Halafula in pancake blocks. He’s been a star in the pros, recording 100 catches and 1,000 yards every season and winning the Tight End of the Year Award in Seasons 26 and 27.

And our last wide receiver is the most electric pass-catcher of all time, he managed to get over 3,500 yards in a near 100-run offense.

spacer.png

Jurgen Flügel Hagendorfen, WR, S22-S24, @CowboyinAmerica

USC Stats: 175 REC, 3796 YDS, 21.9 YAC, 22 TD, 26 KR, 389 YDS, 15.0 YPR, 12 PR, 46 YDS, 3.8 YPR

USC Accolades: S24 WRotY, 2x All-America (S23-S24)

Pro Stats (S25-Present): 269 REC, 4,613 YDS, 17.2 YAC, 37 TD

Accolades: Pro Bowl (S27), EFL Champion (S28)

I mean, wow. 22 yards a catch over the course of a career is just insane (no, not Justin Sane, a wide receiver who also left college in Season 24) and unheard of. He averaged 58 receptions a year and got... 1,265 yards out of them. My WR Meyer catches 90 passes and gets fewer yards than him. The pros look like they’re not going to be much different, as he keeps taking steps forward.

Now, we (at last) have our first defensive player, and he’s yet another successful IA. God knows how we did so well with them. Introducing...

spacer.png

Bam Bam Jones, SS, S9-S12, @Daybe

USC Career Stats: 401 TKL, 11 TFL, 3 FF, 7 SK, 2 INT, 11 PD, 33 KR, 490 YDS, 14.9 YPR

USC Accolades: S12 All-America

EFL Stats (S13): Drafted by Los Angeles but did not play.

100 tackles in a season is pretty good. 100 tackles per season? That’s a whole different story. Kind of. I really don’t know why we’d let an inactive get 100 tackles, but whatever. He still did really well for a really good team, so some IA who hasn’t visited in forever gets his 2nd Hall of Famer 🙄

Now, we have some guy who has special connections to the former AD... cause the former AD was his agent.

spacer.png

Rock Lemington, LB, S14-S17, @Wally

USC Stats: 355 TKL, 16 TFL, 2 FF, 1 FR, 7 SK, 4 PD, 22 KR, 334 YDS, 15.8 YPR

USC Accolades: S17 All-America, S17 NCAA Champion

EFL Stats (S18-S24): 593 TKL, 19 TFL, 4 FF, 2 FR, 8 SK, 15 INT, 43 PD, 1 SFTY, 149 KR, 3601 YDS, 24.2 YPR, 1 TD, 43 PR, 399 YDS, 9.3 YPR

EFL Accolades: S18 DRotY, S24 Pro Bowl, 2x EFL Champion (S20, S24)

Being the AD’s agent helps explain, to an extent, why he got as much playing time as he did, but he was still pretty damn good, despite being massively underrated by those blasted ECFA ADs who vote on All-Americans (oh wait, I’m one of those guys? Why didn’t anyone tell me :)). His TPE earning was off the wall though, so he was the #1 overall selection. Despite some things going on outside of EFL, Wally persisted in some way, shape, or form, and got Lemington’s career back in track in Minnesota, where he earned a Pro Bowl selection his final season and blossomed on offense and special teams.

Now, we have a linebacker whose last name is eerily similar to another Hall of Famer... It’s kinda “Funk”-y, you could say.

spacer.png

Rayz Funk Sr., LB, S13-S16, @Rayzor_7

(You were right Rayz, finding white USC players is a lot harder than I thought lol)

USC Stats: 334 TKL, 23 TFL, 5 FF, 3 FR, 11 SK, 1 INT, 10 PD, 1 SFTY, 1 KR, 0 YDS, 0.0 YPR

USC Accolades: 3x All-America (S14-S16)

EFL Stats (S17-S26): 939 TKL, 40 TFL, 10 FF, 7 FR, 52 SK, 6 INT, 51 PD, 1 SFTY, 1 TD 1 KR, 1 YD, 1.0 YPR

EFL Accolades: S23 Pro Bowl, 2x EFL Champion (S19, S25)

He’s another one of those guys who came in during USC’s winless season, but had faith and stayed there and laid the foundation for the S17 champions. In the Pros, he lasted 10 seasons and though his career probably won’t land him in the Hall of Fame, he has nonetheless had a great career up there, with a Pro Bowl and 2 championships.

Our next guy comes after I decided to skip a few IAs because they didn’t have any awards...

spacer.png

Jean Christophe, FS, S9-S12, @Enorama

USC Stats: 293 TKL, 3 TFL, 1 FF, 2 FR, 1 SK, 18 INT, 22 PD, 2 TD

USC Accolades: 2x All-America (S11-S12)

EFL Stats (S13-S20): 677 TKL, 2 TFL, 2 FF, 3 SK, 26 INT, 35 PD, 1 TD, 27 KR, 610 YDS, 22.6 YPR, 3 PR, 17 YDS, 5.7 YPR

EFL Accolades: S13 DRotY, 5x Pro Bowl (S14, S16-S19), S19 SotY

Well, maybe he isn’t McBoatface, but he’s a really good player regardless. His ECFA career saw him lock down elite WRs day after day, which got him 2 All-America selections, and in the EFL, the 5-time Pro Bowler couldn’t stop his habit of preventing completions. Congrats, man.

Now, for a guy who played for HCP and USC, and was waaay too violent. You could even say he played very Violent-E...

spacer.png

Violent E, LB, S16-S19, @emidas

USC Stats: 376 TKL, 11 TFL, 2 FF, 1 FR, 6 SK, 4 INT, 13 PD

USC Accolades: S17 NCAA Champion

EFL Stats (S20-Present): 725 TKL, 22 TFL, 7 FF, 2 FR, 20 SK, 6 INT, 70 PD, 1 BLK, 1 KR, 0 YDS, 0.0 YPKR

I don’t quite know why he hasn’t been awarded in the EFL, but at USC/HCP, it was just as confounding. The guy was a force to be reckoned with, inspiring fear in the hearts of running backs not just because of his name, but because he played better than his name, running over every offensive lineman he could to get to the QB. His EFL career was very good, sadly no recognition came.

What is this, another inactive? Why yes it is! We have...

Theo Silva, CB, S1-S4, @sleepyvato

USC Stats: 274 TKL, 6 TFL, 2 FF, 1 FR, 1 SK, 21 INT, 46 PD, 1 SFTY, 4 TD, 99 KR, 1592 YDS, 16.1 YPR, 92 PR, 562 YDS, 6.1 YPR, 1 TD

USC Accolades: 2x All-America (S3-S4), 2x NCAA Champion (S1-S2)

EFL Stats (S5): 15 TKL, 1 INT, 1 PD

This guy was one of the best cornerbacks to wear a Trojans uniform, and his 4 defensive touchdowns have still not been topped, and it’s 22 seasons after he set the record. Leading the defense and USC to 2 championships, Theo never let up, and even managed to get a shot in the pros despite neglect from his agent.

Now, we have a guy who has got a crazy amount of accolades, and I see him as a sure fire HOFer. Here we have...

Zane Montgomery, CB, S13-S16, @PigSnout

USC Stats: 251 TKL, 1 TFL, 1 FF, 1 FR, 23 INT, 56 PD, 1 SFTY, 1 TD

USC Accolades: 3x All-America (S14-S16)

EFL Stats (S17-S25): 671 TKL, 2 TFL, 6 FF, 2 FR, 2 SK, 46 INT, 161 PD, 8 TD, 208 KR, 4747 YDS, 22.8 YPR, 4 TD

EFL Accolades: S24 DBotY, S24 DPotY, S24 MIP, 7x Pro Bowl (S17, S19, S21-S25), 2x EFL Champion (S18, S25)

The man, the myth, the legend. Montgomery was phenomenal in college and set the USC record for passes defended, as well as joining elite company with 3 All-America selections... and then promptly did even better in the EFL. Refusing to be a 1st overall bust like Lemington, Montgomery is one of the most decorated cornerbacks of all time and may be joining Okolocha in the EFL Hall of Fame pretty soon.
