ECFA: MONDAY WEDNESDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY EFL: TUESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY

And now, we have one final USC defensive player, a filler who actually stayed active 😮. Here is...

spacer.png

Original Playername, FS, S6-S9, @timeconsumer

USC Stats: 266 TKL, 2 TFL, 2 FF, 2 FR, 5 SK, 19 INT, 33 PD, 2 TD, 1 BLK

EFL Stats (S10-S11): 197 TKL, 1 FF, 2 FR, 6 INT, 12 PD, 1 TD

Playername was hardly the best player of all time. But he was consistently consistent in college, always being a force to be reckoned with, and had 2 very solid years in the pros. Thank God we’re done with the USC defense, cause that took forever.

Now, for our first HCP inductee, a guy who was the defensive version of Quin'Darius Furdge, setting records everywhere. ‘Cept this guys is still active...

spacer.png

Luke Holloway, LB, S21-S24, @Symmetrik

HCP Stats: 453 TKL, 21 TFL, 4 FF, 5 FR, 16 SK, 2 INT, 19 PD

HCP Accolades: S21 DRotY, 4x All-America (S21-S24)

EFL Stats (S25-Present): 448 TKL, 37 TFL, 5 FF, 3 FR, 28 SK, 9 INT, 55 PD, 1 TD

EFL Accolades: S25 DRotY, 3x Pro Bowl (S25-S27), EFL Champion (S27)

Well, yeah. Holloway & Furdge, I believe, are the only 2 4-time All-Americans in history, though Holloway did it in a much more competitive and cutthroat environment than Furdge, who coasted along as an IA in the earliest days of the NCAA (S5-S8). Averaging over 110 tackles this season, Holloway holds the record for most tackles by any USC/HCP player. In the Pros, he’s already got accolades to his name, and he looks to be on a Hall of Fame trajectory.

Now, for an inactive. Surprise, surprise. And, like seemingly every IA, he did awesome.

spacer.png

Christopher Lionheart, LB, S21-S24, @Underclass_Hero

HCP Stats: 391 TKL, 14 TFL, 5 FF, 1 FR, 11 SK, 2 INT, 7 PD

HCP Accolades: S24 All-America

EFL Stats (S25): 38 TKL, 1 TFL, 1 FF, 1 FR, 5 SK, 1 INT, 3 PD

EFL Accolades: S25 EFL Champion

Well, Lionheart had the heart of a lion (shocking, right?). Unafraid to throw himself into the heart of the action, Christopher amassed 391 tackles, yet only got 1 All-America selection, possibly because his user logged off for a little while.

In the pros, he got in a solid IA season before Undercalss logged back in and retired him. Since he’s been active on the SBA in recent weeks, we’re kinda hoping that he comes back here too, and maybe even creates another Hall of Famer 👀

“For the first time in forever”, as Anna from Frozen likes to say, “we have a player who isn’t IA.” Well, that’s not how the song goes in the movie, but that’s how it goes in Hades Creek.

Rayshad Osling, FS, S22-S25, @ngine4

HCP Stats: 344 TKL, 9 TFL, 6 FF, 4 FR, 5 SK, 19 INT, 28 PD, 3 TD

HCP Accolades: S25 SotY, S25 All-America

EFL Stats (S26-Present): 220 TKL, 1 FF, 1 FR, 11 INT, 21 PD, 1 TD, 1 BLK

EFL Accolades: EFL Champion (S27)

Osling didn’t get much recognition until his uncap year, but he was still a very good player they other 3 seasons. At free safety, Osling got not just tackles, but also tackled people behind the line of scrimmage, sacked them, stripped the ball out of their hands, batted passes away from eager receivers, and even caught some of them too. And 3 times, he scored because of his efforts. Taken 3rd by Denver, his career appears to be picking up Steam after a solid 3 seasons.

This guy split his time evenly between USC & HCP, the only Hall of Famer to do so. Here is our last defensive player...

spacer.png AND spacer.png

(I had to add Auburn in here somewhere lol)

Jabari Spalding, LB, S17-S20, @TotallyNotGus

USC/HCP Stats: 266 TKL, 18 TFL, 2 FF, 12 SK, 1 INT, 13 PD

EFL Stats (S21-Present): 912 TKL, 55 TFL, 6 FF, 3 FR, 59 SK, 6 INT, 89 PD, 1 TD, 3 BLK

EFL Accolades: 3x Pro Bowl (S25-S27), S24 EFL Champion

I mean, he doesn’t really show up on any leaderboards because he evenly split his time between Southern California and Olympia, Washington, but he still was a solid contributor, and always knew what he was doing. In the pros, he’s been doing pretty well, with 100+ tackles every season except for Season 22. Looks like Gus knows how to make Hall of Famers.

And, now, for our final player before we just do our normal, yearly inductions. He’s also our only kicker.

spacer.png

New Player, K/P, S18-S21, @Turts

HCP Stats: 178-180 XP (98.9%), 87-99 FG (87.9%), 277 PNT, 11,475 YDS, 41.4 YPP, 30 INS 20

HCP Accolades: S21 KotY, S21 All-America

EFL Stats (S22-S27): 360-375 XP (96.0%), 156-177 FG (88.1%), 400 PNT, 18,325 YDS, 45.8 YPP, 87 INS 20

New Player came onto USC’s campus as, well, a new player. He got better every year, and by the end of his career, he was in Hades Creek, not USC. He was the only kicker in our history to stay all 4 years and is the all-time leader in extra points (178), field goals (87), punts (277), yards (11,475), punts inside the 20-yard line, and is 2nd in points (439), only behind the great Xavuer Holloway, @Symmetrik, by 23 points. In the pros, he’s been a pretty good kicker & punter, though never a Pro Bowler (yet).

Our next guy also went IA. Can you tell how surprised I am?

spacer.png

Umaga Uso, SS, S23-S26, @Shaka

HCP Stats: 394 TKL, 21 TFL, 4 FF, 5 FR, 16 SK, 2 INT, 19 PD, 5 KR, 46 YDS, 9.2 YPKR, 2 PR, 19 YDS, 9.5 YPR

HCP Accolades: S26 Safety of the Year, S26 All-America

Uso had a good-but-not-great start to his career, however, he absolutely busted it his senior year, and retired with the 2nd most tackles in school history. He went IA and never uncapped, who knows what coulda happened if he had been over 198 TPE senior year?

And now, for a filler who started out in a crazy Wally offense and ended on a weird NSG offense. Let's hear it for...

🤖

BURT BOT283, RB, S24-S26, @OrbitingDeath

HCP Stats: 901 RSH, 5,107 YDS, 5.7 YPR, 39 TD, 16 REC, 134 YDS, 8.4 YPR, 49 KR, 704 YDS, 14.4 YPKR, 24 PR, 197 YDS, 8.2 YPR, 2 TD

EFL Stats (S28-Present): 50 RSH, 208 YDS, 4.2 YPR, 6 TD, 5 RECC, 67 YDS, 13.4 YPR, 2 PAN

I was just astounded at what he was able to do with only 100 TPE. Rushing for over 1,000 yards every season, Burt did everything well, and was a nice guy to have around. He's rocking it in the pros as well :)
