Hello EFL,

The Board of Directors (BoD) held an offseason meeting last night and we would like to report back to our community on what we are working on. If you would like to listen to the full minutes, that recording is available here.

- Board of Director Visibility: We are planning to continue with at least one announcement per season about plans that the Board of Directors are working on. Please feel free to reach out with topics you would like the BoD to discuss by contacting a member of the BoD on the discord or forums.

- Newly Assigned BoD Positions: We do not have any new additions to the BoD, but we were able to assign positions to three BoD members who were previously unassigned. This includes:

EFL Commissioner: @omgitshim

Finance: @Jetsqb101

Player Progression/Extras Head: @Lefty_S

- Hall of Fame Update: We are currently lagging behind with EFL Hall of Fame work, but have been making up ground recently. The BoD is currently voting on members for the Hall of Fame class for Season 33, and will be voting for a new class each 2 weeks from now until we are caught up to the Season 37 class.

- EFL History Update: The BoD would like for records and awards to be input into EFLO, and is work is underway to complete this.

- ECFA League Update:

     - Added in a 'straight to 199-tpe option' for recreates of players who reached 1200 tpe with their most recent EFL player.

     - A waiver system will be implemented from this point forward for ECFA teams for the claiming of inactive and unsigned ECFA players, with waiver priority being based on last season's record.

     - Concern about roster sizes for Season 38 for RTPs. Immediate roster size rule implemented to change the 4/2 RTP restriction rule to 5/3 for season 38 only (This will be re-visited next offseason).

- EFL League Update

      - Discussion of need for consistent and predictable sims and presentations during the regular season

      - The need for earlier identification of a cap-rollover issue that has been experienced.

      -  A waiver system will be implemented from this point forward for EFL teams for the claiming of inactive and unsigned ECFA players, with waiver priority being based on last season's record.

- Clarification on User Tampering Rules

     - A discussion was held on the need to clarify what is acceptable and not acceptable for Non-GM Users to do with recruitment. Recruitment of free-agent EFL players is a responsibility given solely to EFL GMs. Here are some examples of appropriate user-to-user interactions, versus inappropriate user-to-user interactions:

Appropriate:

- Telling another user that you would enjoy playing with their player on no specific EFL team.

- Reaching out to an EFL Free Agent once Free Agency talks have opened with your GM's permission.

Inappropriate:

- Planning a move to another EFL team with a user while under contract.
- Telling a GM that an upcoming Free Agent that is a friend of yours would like to play for a specific EFL team.

Users can and will be punished if it is believed that tampering has occurred.

Our next BoD meeting is scheduled to occur mid-season EFL Season 38.

I offered to help with inputting drafts or awards there a while back and never got the go ahead. I still can do some here and there if needed.
